I wasted some time on that one, but I'm a fast learner and won't get
caught again. Now you can benefit from my mistake and begin by
talking to a lender and getting the loan process
started. If you can have an actual loan ready when you go to buy,
you won't be crying in your beer like me!
Oops! There I go again, getting out of sequence. (I really do think
this atmosphere sometimes makes me lightheaded.) The absolute first
thing you should do is find yourself an advocate, a buyer's
agent to help you through this whole complex process.
As I mentioned before, I have searched the entire planet for the best
place to live and helping me all the time was a great buyer's agent
Kristal Kraft and her team-partner, Vali Wimberly.
Let me tell you about why I liked them so much. First of all they
listened to me, intently. I know I probably sounded really silly,
because I really wasn't sure what I wanted. I knew I would know it
when I saw it, but I wasn't sure exactly how to explain it to Kristal and
Vali. They helped me by asking questions about my lifestyle and my
needs and next thing you know they had some houses lined up.
We didn't find the "perfect" home on the first outing.
Kristal and Vali weren't disappointed nor did they get pushy.
Actually she encouraged me by saying we would find it, we just needed to
look at a few more. Their care and concern for me was
reassuring. I trusted they would do the "right thing" for
me.
Agents with the ABR letters after their names are not just any ordinary agent. I found out that
Kristal attended advanced educational classes and had to perform many
transactions before getting her ABR - Accredited Buyer
Representative designation. Believe me, she knew her stuff!
When it came time to write an offer on my home, Kristal was able to
guide me as to how to negotiate the best terms for me. I was as
nervous as a cat on a hot tin satellite, but the seller liked my offer and I
got the house!
Phew! It was so good to me able to sleep at night
again!
