BROOMFIELD

Interlocken Business Park
Broomfield is a thriving residential
and industrial community situated midway between Denver and Boulder.
Broomfield's panoramic view of the mountains and the many area lakes make
it a growing community in the metropolitan area.
Today, after attracting nearly 10,000 high
tech jobs, including Sun Microsystems and Level 3 Communications,
Ball Aerospace, McDATA, Hunter Douglas Window Fashions, Geneva
Pharmaceuticals Corporation to their city, the Broomfield city council
voted unanimously to limit to 300 the number of new homes that may be
built each year in their city limits. Broomfield, with a population
of 43,000, expects to add 50,000 jobs to its community over the next 10
years, resulting in a demand for several thousand new homes a year.
However, most of these workers will be expected to live someplace else
and commute into Broomfield.
The $200 million Flatirons Regional Shopping Mall has recently opened and
will provide out-standing shopping with major tenants Lord & Taylor,
Foleys, Nordstroms and Dillards.
